A Difficult Update From Me
I honestly never imagined I would have to write an update like this. The last few days have been incredibly difficult, and I’m struggling to find the right words to explain what I’m going through.
I recently received some very devastating news after my latest scans. The results revealed 27 additional tumors, on top of the large tumor in my back that I recently received radiation to treat. I was praying and hoping that the treatment would bring some improvement, but unfortunately, the disease is still progressing, and there has been no meaningful decrease.
My body is tired. My strength is not what it used to be, and emotionally, I am struggling too. Every day feels like another battle between trying to stay strong and simply trying to get through the day. I want to believe that things will get better, but right now, I am facing a reality that is incredibly frightening and painful.
Because there are so many tumors, my doctors believe we need to get the disease under control before surgery or additional radiation can even be considered. We are also exploring clinical trials and other treatment options that might give me another chance to fight this. At the moment, we are waiting until next week to hopefully have a more definite treatment plan.
I have always considered myself a fighter, and I am doing everything I can to keep fighting. But the truth is, my body needs rest now. I am exhausted, and I will not be able to work while I go through this next stage of treatment and recovery.
Along with the physical and emotional pain, there is also the financial stress. Medical bills and everyday expenses continue to pile up, and being unable to work makes everything even harder. My biggest priority should be getting treatment and taking care of myself, but it is difficult not to worry about how I will manage everything financially.
I never thought I would find myself asking people for help, but right now, I truly need it.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, your support could help me cover medical expenses, daily bills, treatment-related costs, and other necessities while I am unable to work. If you cannot donate, I completely understand. A prayer, a kind message, or simply sharing my story can mean just as much to me.
There are moments when I feel scared, overwhelmed, and exhausted. But I am still trying to hold onto hope. I am still fighting. I am still praying that we will find the right treatment and that somehow my body will finally begin responding.
Thank you to everyone who has stood beside me, prayed for me, checked on me, shared my story, or supported me in any way. I may not always have the words to respond to everyone, but please know that I see your kindness, and it means more to me than you will ever know.
Please keep me in your prayers. I need all the strength and love I can get right now.
